As I continue with my new car challenge with Lone Star Mercedes-Benz at the corner of Deerfoot and Glenmore Trail, SE.  I had the chance to test drive the Mercedes-Benz C43 AMG Cabriolet.  More like I was the passenger as my husband was super exited to drive this sleek and sexy convertible.

The C43 gets the AMG upgrade, which elevated the performance of the Mercedes-Benz. This is a fast car that punches into the AMG engine - giving the driver confidence on our open roads for extended travel.

I loved the multilayer top, which operates up or down with one touch. It also keeps the interior noise level down when the top is open, making for a calm conversation on our drive.

The luxury of the airscarf is integrated into the headrest. It blows warm air on the back of your neck while the top is down, making for a comfortable ride without getting chilled.

This was certainly a fun test drive, although not sure how I'll fit the kids, two dogs and all the hockey gear. Perhaps a second vehicle should we need a sweet ride.

So this time, obviously we wanted to have a little fun. Clearly the Mercedes-Benz C43 AMG Cabriolet wasn't a very practical choice in our search for a new family vehicle, but it was a fun choice with an unforgettable ride.

Out on the open road - heading out to enjoy an anniversary dinner with my husband in Priddis, AB, (out to Azuridge Estate Hotel) we had the top down while on Highway 22x - driving into the sunset of the rocky mountains.

When the top is down, and you're in sport-plus mode, you can really hear the purr of the AMG engine. Pick it up a notch and you'll hear it growl - and feel like you're in a real race car.

I'd have to say the AMG upgrade really elevated the performance of the Mercedes-Benz C43 AMG Cabriolet, making our night out memorable. Especially the envy of onlookers.

Lone Star Mercedes-Benz really knew how to make our anniversary a special one, going out of their way to set up this wonderful opportunity for a great night out.

Visit Lone Star Mercedes-Benz, at the corner of Deerfoot and Glenmore Trail, SE in Calgary.

This is a paid endorsement.
