Lauren Klukas started in the world of competitive swimming, and went on to become a personal trainer teaching boot camps and running dry land training programs. After 5 years of personal training, genetic testing revealed that Klukas was positive for a gene that is associated with ARVC — arrythmogenic right ventricle cardiomyopathy.

Klukas was told that for the rest of her life she would not be able to do any vigorous activity or exercise other than light walking. That changed her life forever. However, instead of doing nothing — knowing the importance nutrition plays in weight management — Klukas created the Complete Plate.
