Pet Nutrition Just As Important As People Nutrition

When it comes to nutrition, it's a no-brainer to take care of yourself and your family. But, your pets are family too! A proper balance of nutrients will not only improve the longevity of your pet, but it'll keep them happier too! With the right food, your family friend will maintain muscle tone, have healthier teeth and - in the long run - be able to fight-off infection. You'll also see their energy restored. Plus, their skin and coats will be shiny and healthy.

Dr. Julie Schell form Bow Bottom Veterinary Hospital says in veterinarian medicine they include nutrition as medicine. Schell says, "There are so many wonderful, therapeutic diets that can fit the needs of your pets. There are also home cooked diets that your Veterinarian can dispense for you to make at home."

Schell continues to say that commercial products that are properly formulated to fit your pets needs are also wonderful. She says, "There's a lot of Veterinarian research that goes into making the food." Some meals can be catered to treat specific diseases.

I asked Schell how popular is it for people to cook for their pets? She replied, "It is gaining popularity! We find that it is more popular for people with smaller pets because it's much easier to prepare a batch of food that will last a week." However, for people that are really busy, and don't have time to prepare or cook Schell suggests using a Pet Chef. Schell says this is a great way to help your pet if they have specific needs and a specific diet.

Schell continues suggesting, "With a good, solid diet you can actually maintain your pets feces even better." A diet can be created where you can create more or less fiber, depending on your pet and his or her needs.

Lone Star Mercedes-Benz 2018 GLS 450 Review

Lone Star Mercedes-Benz 2018 GLS 450
As I continue my new car challenge with Lone Star Mercedes-Benz I've been test driving the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLS 450. A lot of people have asked me why I chose Lone Star in the first place, and why I decided to go with a Mercedes-Benz. To be honest, it was the service that got me wanting more.

The 2018 GLS 450 is a full sized SUV and can sit a full sized family with 7 seats. It's a big vehicle in the sense that not only can we pack our family and our pets, but it's a great vehicle to carpool my boys' hockey team. Now, this is a bigger vehicle than what I'm used to, but I'll be honest it didn't feel like it. I didn't feel clumsy behind the wheel. I felt confident - which is what you want when you're driving your kids to and from one end of the city to the other.

What I loved about this stylish and spacious vehicle was that I could lower the third row to take our two dogs comfortably in the back - and pack the hockey and lacrosse bags - which is my life with two dogs and two boys.

A wonderful perk in the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 [if you choose the option] is the heated and cooled front cup holders - something I wouldn't pass up on.

Test driving a new vehicle can sometimes be stressful too, as you're used to your current vehicle - and you have to take the time to learn a whole new system. Remember I was telling you that it was the service that made us want to buy from Lone Star Mercedes-Benz, well it didn't stop short with the Delivery Specialist Matt and Kevin. They walked me though all the features so that I could enjoy the ride.

And, at the end of the day, I have to remember what drove me to Lone Star Mercedes-Benz - and it comes back to the service and guidance we received from the start. Lone Star has impressed my husband and I, not only for the vehicle, but for the support and understanding from the sales department to the delivery specialists. We are sold on the services at Lone Star Mercedes-Benz, which is Calgary's longest serving Mercedes-Benz dealership for over 45 years, which is why they understand their customers.

The Complete Plate Healthy Eating Healthy Life

by Christina Rowsell

The Complete Plate by Lauren Klukas
Lauren Klukas started in the world of competitive swimming, and went on to become a personal trainer teaching boot camps and running dry land training programs. After 5 years of personal training, genetic testing revealed that Klukas was positive for a gene that is associated with ARVC — arrythmogenic right ventricle cardiomyopathy.

Klukas was told that for the rest of her life she would not be able to do any vigorous activity or exercise other than light walking. That changed her life forever. However, instead of doing nothing — knowing the importance nutrition plays in weight management — Klukas created the Complete Plate.

The CompletePlate shows that weight maintenance, and weight loss, can be achieved through a balanced diet of ingredients that come together to meet both nutritional and caloric demands. Featuring meal plans for diets of 1,500, 2,000, and 2,500 calories, it is a collection of 30 meal plans with each day perfectly balanced to provide 100% of your daily macro and micro nutrient needs. *Based on current daily recommended intake (DRI) values.

Lauren Klukas spoke with Christina Rowsell about her journey and how she’s living a stronger, healthier and happier life. Listen to the interview HERE

Jann Arden Not Your Little Girl IWD 2018

by Christina Rowsell
@RadioChristina

Jann Arden
When a song comes along and smacks you in the face you have to take notice. Jann Arden has just released one of those songs! From her upcoming album These Are The Days - set for release March 16, 2018 - Jann Arden released her single called Not Your Little Girl. Arden says, "This song was pre #MeToo and #TimesUp as I wrote it a year and a half ago with my producer Bob Rock." She continues to explain, "This song came out of a desire to be heard and to be acknowledged and to encourage myself to go forward and to find a way to be authentic."

Not Your Little Girl is about the power in individuality. To be who you are meant to be. Arden says, "We all have people that stand in our path. And more often than not we are the people standing in our own way. Nobody can tell you what to do, how to be or how to dress. You can't let people take that away from you."
